The VR3 represents the latest
in decompression computer technology. Capable of dealing with up to
10 pre-programmed gases via underwater activation the VR3 is a fully
reprogrammable dive computer. It is only to be sold to divers qualified
to use it.
VR3 & Inspiration CCR
Link
If you use the VR3 combined with the Inspiration Rebreather Link,
it will allow the VR3 to act as a stand alone unit for the monitoring
of PPO2 from the Inspiration. The VR3 will monitor your decompression
obligations via the PPO2 reading it gets from the Oxygen cell in the
Inspiration link. In the event of a full electronics failure on the
Inspiration you can maintain setpoint on the Inspiration via monitoring
of the PPO2 on the VR3 and manual injection of Oxygen on the Inspiration.
VR3 & Dolphin SCR Link
All VR3's can now be purchased or up dated to include a Semi-closed
version of the software. Semi-closed mode allows an external oxygen
sensor to be interfaced via the VR3's I/O connector for on-line decompression.
Semi-closed mode displays this reading as a varying FO2 based on the
gas mix in the rebreather at any time. If the cell should fail or
the user wish to switch back to a fixed FO2 (open circuit) decompression,
the external cell can be disabled. By fitting the optional Draeger
'P' connector to any rebreathers counterlung, the VR3 can interface
to a range of rebreathers via the Draeger cell holder. Closed circuit
VR3's can also be updated with Semi-closed mode software.
VR3 & Oxygen Analyser
Link
All VR3's with an I/O connector fitted can be updated to run the
new analyser software. An external cylinder connection kit and T piece
can be supplied as a part of the kit. The analysed gas can then automatically
be saved into the VR3's gas list ready for diving.
In order for the VR3 to work with either of the above links, it can
either be purchased with, or retrofitted with a marine I/O connector.
The unit is then returned to us for a software upgrade.
